Network Engineer II

About the role

Average of 3 years of successful, in-depth work experience in relevant technical fields is required. An accredited university, college or trade school education in relevant field or equivalent training in relevant technology is preferred. Relevant certifications are preferred, including but not limited to Cisco, Palo Alto, Microsoft.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers on implementation and upgrades of their network infrastructure as well as respond to issues related to the customer network.
• Plan for, design, and evaluate new and existing network systems and services between multiple platforms and protocols.
• Train and support Network Engineers.
• Makes sure the projects and task assignments are completed in a timely manner as well as being functionally and securely sound.
• May participate on network design; planning, site/datacenter surveys, and providing recommendations for future proofing customer infrastructures by providing data for customers with actionable data regarding specific infrastructure needs.
• Addresses firewall related work activities and issues.
• Responds promptly to incident tickets/tasks concerning network/voice issues.
• Maintains the security and proper access to customer data.
• Proactively seeks out and understands new and developing technologies and trends in Information Technology.
