Location: Andover, ME (Fully Onsite, 5x onsite in office)

Responsibilities
- Installation, monitoring, testing, and maintenance of earth station telecommunications and associated equipment per specifications and operational procedures, including Radio Frequency (RF), Intermediate Frequency (IF), and baseband technologies.
- Perform testing and diagnostic procedures on equipment according to published equipment standards with support.
- Use test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment to analyze, interpret, troubleshoot, document, and restore digital services.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure effective results on all workflows.
- Monitor vendor activities and remote monitoring of other teleports when necessary.
- Monitor the network for anomalies and handle issues from customers according to established procedures for management and technical escalations.
- Maintain service levels and take appropriate action to uphold them.
- Support the assembly, installation, configuration, and/or testing of satellite and network equipment (e.g., amplifiers, modems, routers, switches, multiplexers) and associated wiring and cabling.
- Coordinate the testing and turn-up of service with all involved parties.
- Work with government, international, and domestic customers to maintain the highest level of service for their circuits.
- Perform site operations with minimal supervision during shifts.
- Initiate emergency restoration procedures following equipment failures.
- Monitor earth station and terrestrial systems for proper operation.
- Establish good working relationships with internal/external departments to ensure timely completion of various tasks.
- Work assigned shifts 24x7 365, including scheduled and rotational coverage, last-minute flexibility, and on-call rotations as needed by the business.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or 3 or more years of work experience.
- Three or more years of experience in Satellite Network Communications.
- Three or more years of experience in IP Technologies.
- A valid Driver's License.
Skills
- Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in Satellite Network Communications and IP Technologies.
- Willingness to work 24x7 shifts, including rotational and on-call coverage.
- Desired:
- A degree in Electronics/Telecommunications or extensive experience with RF/Satellite communications.
- CCNA/CCNP or other Cisco Certifications.
- Other Satellite or IP Certifications.
- Associate’s degree in Electronics/Telecommunications or 2-4 years of commensurate experience in RF/Satellite communications.
- Experience in RF Technologies/Satellite Communications from a military technical school or accredited technical school/university.
