About the role
Our client, a leading technology provider, is seeking a Network Engineer (F5) to provide leadership in technical support and documentation to various departments and users regarding the global infrastructure. You will serve as a liaison to gather network requirements from internal customers, vendors, and other third-party providers, with a strong focus on F5 technologies.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in technical support and documentation for global infrastructure
- Gather network requirements from internal customers, vendors, and third-party providers
- Focus on F5 technologies, including BIG-IP LTM, GTM, Remote access, traffic management, and application delivery optimization across the enterprise network
- Manage Forescout device profiling in a Software Defined Access environment
- Manage SolarWinds device monitoring for the Data Center and Enterprise environment
- Research, evaluate, and recommend hardware and/or software solutions supporting large-scale deployments and/or remediations against the LAN/WAN
- Work with 3rd party networking vendors, understanding their service/hardware/software portfolios
- Identify areas of process improvement and provide input and solution options to streamline work
- Utilize network service monitoring systems (Spectrum, SolarWinds, and Cisco DNAC)
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Computer Science or Network Engineering
- 5+ years of recent experience with network design and build-out of LAN/WANs and/or large-scale network retrofits and remediations
- Hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP solutions, including load balancing and application delivery
- Knowledge of SolarWinds Monitoring and Forescout NAC
- Advanced level experience working with most of the following technologies/applications: MPLS, BGP, LDP, QoS, IPv6, OSPF, vPC, STP, DWDM, EVPN, L2VPN, MPLS VPN, L3VPN, FHRP, VLAN, CDP, port-channels, IS-IS, MPLS Inter-AS, VXLAN, DNS, ACL, RADb, Flow spec, RTBH, GitHub, APIs, NFV, Hypervisors, virtual switching
- Multi-vendor experience working with the following platforms: Cisco IOS, ASR 1k (IOS-XE), ASR NCS (IOS-XR), Nexus (NX-OS), Aruba wireless and ClearPass
- Experience working in a service provider, datacenter/hosting environment, or large-scale enterprise networks
- CCNA and F5 101 certifications (must have)
Preferred Qualifications
- F5 201, F5 301, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP certifications
- CCIE (R&S, SP, or DC) highly preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Python PCEP

Pay
The approximate pay range for this position is between $42.00 and $60.00 per hour. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
