Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support add/move/change (MAC) activities across production financial-markets networks
• Configure and troubleshoot Layer-2 and Layer-3 network services
• Aid with BGP, OSPF, and IS-IS routing changes and troubleshooting
• Support NAT configuration and fault isolation (static and dynamic NAT)
• Aid with IP multicast (IGMP, PIM) used for market data distribution
• Aid with packet capture and traffic analysis (tcpdump, Wireshark or equivalent)
• Aid with Layer-1 troubleshooting including physical connectivity and latency-sensitive paths
• Follow disciplined change, documentation, and operational processes
• Collaborate with senior engineers on automation-enabled configuration and validation

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience supporting global IP networks
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Arista platforms
• Strong Layer-2 knowledge (VLANs, trunking, STP, LACP)
• Strong Layer-3 fundamentals (BGP basics, OSPF/IS-IS concepts)
• NAT fundamentals and troubleshooting experience
• Multicast fundamentals (IGMP, PIM)
• Packet capture and analysis skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Skills

• CCNA or CCNP
• NCIA or JNCIP
• Exposure to network-as-code practices using structured data (JSON/YAML)
• Assist with templated configuration and automation workflows (e.g., Jinja2, Ansible)
• Follow Git-based version control and peer-review workflows for network changes
