This role supports a large-scale End-of-Support (EOS) network refresh initiative, focusing on migrating customer services from legacy network equipment to newer platforms within a Juniper-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Analyze existing router configurations and develop migration plans.
- Create implementation documentation for network migrations.
- Execute network migrations during scheduled maintenance windows.
- Coordinate with multiple internal teams and field resources.
- Manage several migration projects simultaneously.
Requirements
- Experience with network engineering, migrations, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with Juniper platforms (MX, QFX, ACX) and protocols (BGP, MPLS).
- Multi-vendor networking experience, including Cisco (routers, switches, ASR/7600/9K) and Nokia (7210/7750).
- Experience supporting large-scale network refresh or modernization projects.
- Familiarity with network inventory and provisioning systems (Granite experience is a plus).
- Strong troubleshooting abilities within complex routed environments.
- EOL/EOS replacement project experience.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Project management experience.
- Previous experience with large service providers (e.g., Spectrum/Charter, Verizon).
- Former internal implementation and operations (INO) experience.
- Network staging and deployment coordination experience.
Pay
$45.00 - $55.00/hour.
