Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot Level 3 and advanced network issues, performing callbacks to ensure resolution and provide appropriate solutions to customers in high-pressure factory environments.
- Investigate root causes, test solutions, and implement fixes to reduce the time taken to resolve network-related tickets.
- Manage new and existing equipment, hardware, and network device software upgrades.
- Understand network support priorities and objectives, taking an active role in accomplishing them.
- Lead and drive technical operational issues independently in high-pressure environments, engaging multiple stakeholders during live troubleshooting.
- Assist Level 1 and Level 2 resources in addressing network-related issues.
- Apply strong understanding of network routing and switching protocols.
- Communicate complex technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Demonstrate resourcefulness, independent work capabilities, strong time management, and attention to detail.
- Multi-task activities with shifting priorities.
Skills
- Expert in implementing and supporting Cisco ACI (policy model, contracts, EPGs, fabric troubleshooting).
- Administer and troubleshoot Palo Alto Firewalls, including:
- Security policies, NAT, routing
- VPN (IPSec, site-to-site, remote access)
- Panorama management and threat prevention profiles
- Manage and support enterprise wireless networks (Cisco, Aruba, or equivalent), including RF optimization, roaming, and high-density deployments.
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot IPSec VPNs, including third-party interoperability.
- Administer Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM), including grid management, failover, and automation integration.
- Lead hands-on P1 troubleshooting for complex network issues across Application, LAN, WAN, DC, and security domains.
- Real-time packet capture skills using Wireshark to investigate complex issues during live P1 calls.
Required Technical Skills
- Cisco ACI: APIC, EPGs, contracts, fabric health, L2/L3 connectivity
- Palo Alto Firewalls: PAN-OS, Panorama, security policies, IPSec VPN, NAT
- Wireless: Enterprise WLAN design, RF analysis, troubleshooting
- VPN: IPSec site-to-site, remote access, multi-vendor environments
- Infoblox: DNS, DHCP, IPAM, Grid Master, HA
- Networking Fundamentals: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS, multicast
Qualifications
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and drive operational issues independently.
Pay
$95,000 - $135,000 a year
