Network Engineer

About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team at Logicalis. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and developing state-of-the-art enterprise networks for both national and international clients. Your expertise will be crucial in managing complex infrastructure projects, ensuring the delivery of scalable, secure, and future-proof network solutions. You will work closely with architects, consultants, and project teams to bring innovative network architectures to life, including LAN, datacenter, WAN, and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working on complex technical projects and a strong sense of responsibility for delivering high-quality network solutions. This position offers the opportunity to be involved in diverse projects, from technical conception to implementation and documentation, and to actively contribute to the ongoing development of enterprise network infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of practical experience in implementing enterprise network projects or comparable infrastructure projects.
• Extensive knowledge of routing, switching, and network design principles.
• Experience in at least one of the following areas: datacenter networking, WAN and site networking, service provider networks, cloud networking, network security, load balancing.
• Prominent track record of taking technical responsibility in projects and independently implementing complex network environments.
• Structured, solution-oriented, and customer-focused working approach.
• Proficiency in German at least at C1 level.
• Confident use of English in project environments.
• Certifications from manufacturers in the area of enterprise networking are desirable.
• Experience working with system integrators, IT service providers, or in complex enterprise networks is advantageous.
• Knowledge of modern network architectures in enterprise environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and optimize complex enterprise network infrastructures to meet client requirements.
• Manage customer projects from initial technical conception through to implementation, documentation, and handover.
• Design and realize modern campus, datacenter, and WAN architectures, ensuring their continuous development within ongoing projects.
• Analyze existing network environments to identify areas for improvement and develop scalable, secure, and future-proof solutions.
• Collaborate closely with architects, consultants, and project teams, actively contributing your technical expertise to ensure project success.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging networking technologies and industry best practices.
• Provide technical support and guidance during the deployment and operational phases of network solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and organizational policies across all network projects.
