About The Role

The Network Engineer at BrightSpring Health Services plays a crucial role in ensuring the robustness, security, and efficiency of the organization's network infrastructure. This position involves the implementation, maintenance, and support of enterprise networking environments, including LAN, WAN, wireless, SD-WAN, VPN, and cloud-based networks. The Network Engineer collaborates closely with senior engineering teams, security personnel, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable network services that support organizational operations and strategic projects. The role requires troubleshooting complex network issues, supporting infrastructure upgrades, and ensuring optimal network performance across various locations and cloud environments. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 3–5 years of experience in network engineering or network administration.
  • Fortinet Certified Associate (FCA) or Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP) preferred.
  • Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700) certification desired.
  • Hands-on experience with Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco, or other enterprise networking technologies.
  • Experience supporting Azure and AWS cloud networking environments.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals, including routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, and network sniffing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, organization, and planning skills.
  • Analytical reasoning and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure to ensure continuous service availability.
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity, proactively addressing issues to ensure reliable service delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related incidents, service disruptions, and connectivity issues efficiently.
  • Support and manage LAN, WAN, wireless, SD-WAN, VPN, and cloud networking environments, ensuring security and compliance.
  • Participate in infrastructure projects, including technology upgrades, site deployments, and network expansions.
  • Collaborate with security, systems, cloud, and telecommunications teams to support overall business operations.
  • Perform detailed network troubleshooting involving routing, switching, wireless connectivity, and other network components.
  • Support incident management processes, including root cause analysis and resolution documentation.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior engineering staff when necessary, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Manage work orders and tickets to meet or exceed service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Assist in the design and implementation of network solutions aligned with organizational needs and industry best practices.
