Network Engineer

About the role

This role will be responsible for building wired and wireless networks, improving network performance, creating automations for repetitive tasks, and monitoring systems to optimize and secure the network.

Responsibilities

• Sustaining and enhancing the existing network infrastructure by analyzing the environment for optimizations, greater security, and needed automation.
• Building, testing, and troubleshooting network environments, both physical and virtual.
• Maintaining network performance by monitoring it to mitigate bandwidth and security concerns.
• Staying updated with the latest technologies and threats through research and analysis.
• Deploying security patches and upgrades to ensure the network is secure.
• Configuring network access and services such as VLAN, NAT, NTP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent certifications and experience.
• At least 5-7 years of experience as a Network Engineer or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, routing, and switching.
• Experience with network security and automation.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are advantageous.
