About the role
The engineer will work within a dedicated team of network and firewall engineers tasked with building reliable and scalable network infrastructure for NBCUniversal’s broadcast and media production facilities.
Responsibilities
- Experience in the configuration, deployment, and support of Cisco (IOS, NX-OS, XR), Arista, Palo Alto, and F5 network technology.
- Hands-on experience implementing firewall policy on Palo Alto (Panorama).
- Participate in operational on-call rotation for support of 24x7 production on-air network infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and diagrams.
- Occasional travel for project and remote event support.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience configuring, deploying, and supporting network technology from multiple vendors including Cisco (IOS, NX-OS, XR), Arista, Palo Alto, and F5.
- Experience with AWS and Azure network configurations (Direct Connect, Express Route).
- Ability to analyze network logging and other data sets to troubleshoot and isolate production and design problems.
- Experience with network automation and version control tools such as Ansible and Git to deploy networks at scale.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Good understanding of both Enterprise and Service Provider networking: OSPF, IS-IS, vPC, port-channeling, 10/40/100G optics, IPSEC, QoS, VLAN, Multicast, MP-BGP, route-reflection, MPLS (IP and Segment Routing), Traffic Engineering, L3VPN, VRF.

- Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.

Salary Range
$75,000 - $95,000
