Network Engineer
Responsibilities
Uses knowledge of network hardware and software to help design and install internal and external networks.
Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
Relying on established guidelines and instructions, performs daily job functions.
Collaborates with mission system program offices and other stakeholders to conduct site surveys to determine host network architecture, data rates, and other characteristics to facilitate integration with defensive cyber HW and SW capabilities; and to determine sufficient power, cooling, floorspace, etc of host facilities.
Qualifications
- 3+ years' related professional experience
- Relevant network certifications: JNCDA, JNCDS-DC, JNCDS-SEC, CCNA, or equivalent
- Cyber Certifications, eg Security+, CISSP, highly desired
Desired Skills/experience
- Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command
- Experience with Defensive Cyber Operations (SSC/SZWO) program office
Education/Certification
- Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development or STEM related specialty and 3+ years’ related professional experience; or Associates and 7+ years experience
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $120,000/year to $155,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.
Base pay information is based on market location.

Location/Travel Requirements
Place of work is Colorado Springs; remote work opportunity is limited.
You will be required to travel periodically for site surveys, less than 20%.
