Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and provide 3rd level support for various global systems, including, but not limited to: Global MPLS Network, Global Routing Protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF), Cloud Networking (AWS, Azure, Oracle), Cisco based LAN/WLAN/WAN environment, Site-to-Site VPN/Remote access VPN, Operational Technology (OT) at our global manufacturing facilities, Load Balancing, CASB, Web Filtering, etc.
• Cisco Nexus 7K, 5K and 2K, Fortinet FortiGate (NGFW)
• Identify opportunities and recommend solutions for improving service efficiency and effectiveness with a focus on business use-cases
• Maintain effective communication with business-users and team members around design decisions, and implementation statuses and timelines
• Author technical installation, configuration, and support documentation
• Collaborate with peers on the Network team and as a member of the larger Infrastructure team
• Perform planned system changes and upgrades with minimal impact to business operations which may require after hours or weekend work

Requirements

• B. S. in Computer Science, MIS or related field; or 7+ years of related work experience
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an infrastructure environment
• Experience scoping and sequencing IT related projects
• Self-managed; ability to work well independently and in a global team environment
• Able to multi-task and prioritize assigned work according to business need and priorities
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to perform root cause analysis
• Excellent written and verbal skills
