Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Stay current on technologies and trends and make informed suggestions and decisions for technology updates
• Ensure our networks meet or exceed standards
• Mentor junior team members
• Work with customers to meet their technology needs of the future
• Apply patches and fixes to remediate identified vulnerabilities
• Resolve issues that arise from the system
• Develop new and innovative ways to improve team performance and product offerings
• Utilize strong scripting skills
• Understand the OSI model and standard network protocols

Requirements

• Hold and maintain a security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required
• Wide networking technology background and experience with different vendors
• Experience or sampling of the following topics: Linux Operating Systems, building, deploying, and documenting complex networks, hypervisors, virtualization technology, and virtual desktop infrastructure
• Experience with SaltStack automation framework
• Knowledge of network protocols, routing protocols, policy-based routing, security, and maintaining networking infrastructure

Qualifications

• A relevant college degree and/or practical experience, commensurate with the position you are seeking

Skills

• Strong scripting skills
• Understanding of the OSI model and standard network protocols

Pay

The anticipated salary range for this position is $139,944- $180,108 annually.
