Network Engineer

Job Overview

IDR is seeking a Network Engineer to join one of their top clients in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves supporting the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of network infrastructure alongside senior engineers.

Position Overview

• Support day-to-day network operations by assisting with configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of enterprise network infrastructure.
• Partner with senior engineers to resolve incidents, respond to alerts, and perform guided root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to network documentation and internal change/RFC processes through updates, reviews, and accurate record-keeping.
• Cook up with third-party vendors for troubleshooting and maintenance activities as needed.
• Participate in an on-call rotation with senior oversight, following established processes for escalations and response.

Requirements

• Foundational understanding of routing and switching concepts (e.g., IP networking, BGP, OSPF, LACP, STP).
• Exposure to network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
• Familiarity with network utilities and troubleshooting tools (e.g., ICMP, Syslog, Wireshark).
• Basic understanding of wireless networking and remote access solutions.
• Prior experience supporting network environments within a technology-focused company and/or the gaming industry is desired.
