The Role
Design, implement, maintain, and secure the industrial network infrastructure supporting control systems (SCADA, DCS, PLC).
Ensure high availability, predictable performance, and robust cybersecurity for plant-floor operations.
Monitor and troubleshoot network performance and outages.
Integrate OT networks with enterprise IT while ensuring proper segmentation.
Implement OT security frameworks and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and network segmentation.
Work with automation engineers, maintenance teams, IT staff, and vendors during commissioning and upgrades.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related field, with experience in an industrial plant environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial networking or Operational Technology (OT) environments.
- Understanding of industrial control systems (SCADA, DCS, PLCs) and process control communications (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet).
- Fundamentals of networking (TCP/IP, routing, switching) and experience managing industrial switches.
- Proficiency in industrial cybersecurity, vulnerability assessments, and incident response in OT environments.
- Experience with data visualization tools and hardware like VFDs and Smart MCCs.
