Network Engineer

About the role

Carry out day-to-day operational and technical support for network services, including handling queries from labs and end-user teams via ticketing systems. Maintain updated schematic diagrams for infrastructure and low-level architecture design. Keep an accurate inventory of network devices and ensure documentation is current. Monitor network performance, system availability, and reliability to ensure optimal operation. Install and configure network hardware such as Wireless Access Points, switches, phones, and routers across various sites, labs, and data centers.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure network hardware (WAPs, switches, phones, routers) across sites, labs, and data centers

Requirements

• Knowledge and experience working with Cisco and/or Juniper network equipment
• Familiarity with switching and routing protocols: VLAN, VXLAN, STP, VPC, HSRP, NAT, IPSec, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP
• Understanding of IP communication and routing principles
• Experience with LAN/WAN/WIFI and structured cabling, including firewalls, switches, routers, wireless controllers, and load balancers
• Proficiency with network monitoring tools, automation, and packet-level analysis of network protocols
