Network Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, operate, and support enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. This role works closely with the Network Operations Center (NOC), security teams, and cloud engineers to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/cloud)
• Develop and maintain IP addressing schemes, routing, and documentation
• Partner with the NOC for monitoring, incident response, and escalation
• Configure and manage firewalls and security appliances (Palo Alto preferred)
• Design and support site-to-site and remote access VPNs
• Implement and manage Azure Virtual Networks, peering, and gateways
• Support SD-WAN solutions and branch connectivity
• Contribute to SASE architecture and cloud-based security services
• Perform troubleshooting, capacity planning, and lifecycle management
• Maintain network diagrams, runbooks, and SOPs
• Participate in on-call and after-hours support as required

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required; Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Combined experience in Palo Alto firewalls, Azure networking, and site-to-site connection practices of 2 or more years
• Previous experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Azure networking preferred
• Palo Alto firewall experience (Panorama, Global Protect) preferred
• SD-WAN platform experience
• Exposure to SASE solutions
• Cloud integration experience (Azure preferred)
• Meraki skills, switch-specific
• Scripting or automation skills (PowerShell, Python, Terraform) preferred
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
• Skill in delivering responsive, high-quality customer service

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• In-office environment in Coppell, TX
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
• Occasional business travel required
