About the role
DCS is searching for a performance-driven Network Engineer to support US Army programs. A focus on either Analytical, Financial, logistics, engineering, technical support and/or management of advanced networks for military vehicles and equipment. We're seeking individuals who are excited to take on meaningful challenges, contribute to innovative solutions, and help shape the future of a fast-evolving mission space. This position will be supporting multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
- Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- A minimum of 4 to 5 years as a network engineer within the DOD environment.
- One academic year at an accredited college or university in an accredited preferred degree related post-secondary program for one year of experience.
- Three additional years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Desired Skills
- Ability to obtain a secret clearance as needed.
