Network Engineer

Responsibilities
- Design, install, secure, operate, troubleshoot, manage, and support all Carollo Networking Infrastructure
- Develop best practice network designs, supporting drawings and documentation
- Design, install, configure, and support end-to-end network traffic shaping and prioritization
- Manage network capacity performance against established baselines and service levels
- Design, configure, install, and optimize wireless networks
- Design, configure, install, and support highly available network solutions
- Use network protocol analyzers to solve, audit, test or optimize complex networks or applications
- Develop, maintain, audit, and analyze security logs and reports
- Ensure all IT networking assets are hardened, patched, secured, configured, serviced, and maintained
- Provide technical networking support for all enterprise customers, partners, and vendors
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Requires 3+ years of professional experience
- Strong working knowledge of networking technologies from Cisco, Fortinet, and Meraki
- Experience with Cisco Catalyst switches, and Cisco Meraki and Fortinet wireless access points
- Experience with Fortinet SD-WAN firewalls and advanced security policies
- Experience with Fortinet FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiClient EMS
- Experience working with Layer 2, 3 and 4 networking technologies
- Experience designing, configuring, and supporting OSPF and BGP advanced routing protocols
- Experience designing, configuring, and supporting IPSEC VPN tunnels, DIA, ISP, and MPLS circuits
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure networks
- Fundamental understanding of SAN and NAS storage technologies (native FC, iSCSI)
- Experience working with network protocol analyzers and deep packet analysis forensics
- Experience working with enterprise IT governance controls, processes and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- CCNA certified or Fortinet Certified Professional
- 3 or more years designing, installing, and managing enterprise LAN, WAN and wireless networks
- Experience supporting Cisco Nexus and Cisco MDS data center installations
- Experience with the fundamentals of network design, configuration, and operation of SD-WAN technologies
- Experience working with ISO20000 and ISO27001 standards
