We’re seeking a seasoned network engineer to develop and optimize mission-critical networks for US Government and commercial partners, including international customers. You’ll lead integration projects, showcase solutions to potential clients, and ensure our networks evolve alongside emerging threats and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, upgrade, and troubleshoot enterprise-wide network infrastructure to enhance security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical systems.
  • Apply expertise in routing and switching, encryption gear integration, network architecture, and protocols (e.g., MPLS, gateway protocols, virtual routing and forwarding) to support DoD and other partners.
  • Analyze current network infrastructures and implement improvements to meet evolving operational needs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on mission-critical projects, leveraging knowledge of network protocols, equipment, and emerging technologies.
  • Optimize client operations and modernization efforts using experience with cryptographic equipment, firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), cloud migration, optical networking, and edge technologies.
  • Support the development of new edge technologies and products for USG customers.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in network engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience with Linux systems.
  • 2+ years of experience with SATCOM, Fiber systems, or VMWare.
  • Experience with ATAK Devices and Department of Defense clients in secure government environments.
  • Knowledge of C5ISR Systems maintainer and Kubernetes.
  • Ability to work in AWS Gov Cloud and with Edge Node devices.
  • Active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain one).
  • HS diploma or GED.
  • DoD Approved 8570 IAT-II Certification (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP).

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in network engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience with Department of Defense clients in secure government spaces.
  • Knowledge of JBoss, RHEL, or PodMan for container development.
  • Ability to develop Linux-based solutions using scripting and Bash for automation.
  • Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Pay

Salary range: $62,000 – $141,000 (annualized USD), determined by location, education, skills, experience, and contract-specific requirements.

Schedule

This role may be remote, hybrid, or onsite, with expectations varying by position:

  • Remote: Primarily virtual, with occasional in-person work at Booz Allen or customer facilities.
  • Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer sites.
  • Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, with direct collaboration required.

Virtual employees are generally expected to have cameras on during meetings to support engagement and communication.
