Network Engineer

About the role

BAE Systems is seeking a Network Engineer (NE) experienced in installing and supporting critical infrastructure in support of Pacific Air Forces (PACAF). Our SecureView (SV) team is responsible for successfully fielding software and systems that provide secure access to cross-domain virtualized desktop machines.

Responsibilities

• Administer the SecureView Management Server (SVMS)
• Image cross-domain workstations, laptops, and other endpoint machines
• Migrate user profiles
• Deploy the devices to an extensive PACAF user base
• Handle multiple tasks with conflicting priorities in a team environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience OR associate’s degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience OR a major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience OR 11 years of recent specialized experience
• Security+ or CISSP certification
• Network+, CCNA, or comparable DoD 8570 Computing Environment certification
• Ability to work effectively within a distributed technical team, aided by strong written and verbal communication skills
• Virtual private networking knowledge and experience (e.g., Cisco VPN)
• Robust troubleshooting skill
• Strong customer service skills

Qualifications

• Demonstrated Virtualization experience (e.g., VMWare, Citrix, Xen)
• Citrix hypervisor engineering (XenServer) experience
• VDI (VMWare Horizon View or Citrix XenDesktop) engineering and support experience
• Recognized certification such as Microsoft Certified Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty, VMware Certified Professional – End-User Computing
• Understanding of Federal Government application, server, and network security requirements such as NIST, FedRAMP, and FISMA
