Network Engagement Representative
About the Role
Strategically develop and manage highly aligned, member-focused health insurance networks by partnering with hospital and clinic administrations, Intermountain Medical Group, and affiliated practitioners. This position demonstrates sound business decisions and builds relationships of trust. The role is mostly remote, but the candidate must be located in the northern half of Utah for in-person meetings, events, or clinic visits.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strategic business relationships with providers and administrators, focusing on member needs, specifically access and affordability.
- Act as a strategic partner with provider offices and the organization to build and manage aligned relationships, providing strategic input and network recommendations to Directors and Executive leadership.
- Research and prepare information related to provider network participation requests; participate in the review process to determine provider eligibility and network status.
- Educate physician offices on industry and market trends, strategic direction, value-based health care, and other products.
- Review reports, dashboards, provider insights, and other practice-relevant information.
- Use in-depth understanding of fee schedule methodology, service agreements, and credentialing processes to educate providers and staff.
- Document provider interactions, issues, concerns, and other pertinent information in department systems for review and historical continuity.
- Anticipate and recognize issues, proactively resolving problems; may oversee the problem-solving process.
- Collaborate with departmental operations, contracting, and compliance teams to develop and manage internal relationships and contracting processes.
- Coordinate with other organizational departments and teams on strategic programs, initiatives, and member-centric programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration or a business-related field, or two years of health care experience. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution (education verified).
- Two years of experience working with health care providers in a professional sales or service position.
- Intermediate working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet programs.
- Demonstrated history of working independently and executing organizational goals with minimal oversight.

Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and assess customer needs.
- Frequent interactions with customers requiring clear communication, understanding of spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues.
- Manual dexterity, hearing, speaking, and seeing.
- For roles requiring driving: ability to drive a vehicle, including sitting, seeing, and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
- Remain sitting or standing for long periods to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
Location
SelectHealth - Murray, Utah (mostly remote with occasional in-person requirements in the northern half of Utah).
Pay
Hourly range: $28.06 - $44.20 (dependent upon experience).
Schedule
40 scheduled weekly hours.
