Responsibilities
- Designs and manages the development of a rigorous, vertically-aligned K-12th Grade STEM curriculum that fosters the achievement of all students, takes a constructivist, interdisciplinary approach, is culturally and historically responsive, and develops students’ critical consciousness.
- Collaborates with the Managing Director of Academics and other key stakeholders to create a strategic vision for the network curriculum model.
- Selects, adapts, and/or creates unit plans, assessments, lesson plans, and instructional materials for DREAM’s K-12th STEM curriculum aligned to the science of learning and pedagogical best practices.
- Designs and coaches the facilitation of high quality network-level professional development and coaching practices.
- Manages the STEM team within the Curriculum and Instruction Team (CIT) to ensure alignment of our K-12 STEM programs, production and distribution of curriculum and assessment, and the analysis of data.
- Manages the design and coaches the facilitation of high quality network-level professional development and coaching practices.
- Learns Working Groups made up of leaders and teachers across our schools to innovate on our academic program.
- Manages the STEM team within the Curriculum and Instruction Team (CIT) to ensure alignment of our K-12 STEM programs, production and distribution of curriculum and assessment, and the analysis of data.
- Leads curriculum implementation and content walkthroughs to support school-based teams in determining focus areas and action steps for instructional improvement by observing literacy instruction and analyzing student and teacher data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in Education, Teaching, or School Leadership, preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of education experience with a record of achievement for all children, required.
- Minimum of 3 years of school or network leadership experience, required; both school and network leadership experience, preferred.
- Extensive experience in the selection, design, and development of STEM curriculum and assessment.
- Deep experience and a commitment to innovation, strategic planning, and continuous improvement.
- A successful record of developing teacher and leader knowledge, skill, and productive mindsets around teaching and learning, including experience with design and execution of adult professional development and coaching.
- Extensive knowledge of the science of reading, instructional design, curriculum development, assessment design, historically responsive pedagogies, and pedagogical best practices in STEM.
- A drive to succeed and achieve great results on behalf of all students, especially those furthest from opportunity.

- Excellent interpersonal skills, cultural competency, and an ability to connect and build relationships with a diverse group of people.
- Excellent organizational skills and an ability to project plan, prioritize, and balance multiple projects simultaneously.
