About the role

This role leads a high-performing team responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing Progyny’s menopause provider and laboratory partner network.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute contracting strategies in partnership with Progyny leadership, guiding negotiations that balance provider partnership, operational requirements, financial performance, and client needs.

  • Oversee the full provider contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, maintenance, and updates required to support client benefit changes and evolving business priorities.

  • Cultivate and maintain senior-level provider and laboratory partner relationships, serving as a visible, credible representative of Progyny in the provider market.

  • Lead strategic provider and laboratory partner recruitment to expand access, strengthen network quality, and ensure alignment with Progyny’s inclusion criteria and performance expectations.

  • Improve contracting efficiency and consistency by identifying process enhancements, standardizing practices, and partnering on systems improvements.

  • Deliver clear operational and executive-level reporting on network development, contracting progress, provider performance, risks, and opportunities.

  • Build trusted, consultative relationships with provider organizations and laboratory partners, including senior decision-makers at local, regional, and national levels.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business development, client account management, strategy and analytics, member and provider services, finance, accounting, marketing, and communications to advance enterprise priorities.

  • Define and operationalize account management goals, success metrics, service standards, and operating rhythms that drive sustained network value and accountability.

  • Increase account management effectiveness through scalable processes, consistent playbooks, improved data visibility, and continuous optimization.

  • Represent Progyny as a strategic partner and thought leader with providers, employers, industry partners, and external forums.

  • Oversee reporting and insights related to provider account management activities, relationship health, issue resolution, and value creation.

  • Partner with marketing and communications to shape conference strategy, budget planning, external engagement, and provider-facing messaging.

  • Build, develop, and lead a diverse, high-performing Provider Account Management team.

  • Collaborate with Product Development to represent provider and business needs, supporting the expansion of Progyny’s service portfolio.

  • Ensure operational readiness and scalability of new and existing products through active participation in development and provider integration.

  • Provide regular updates to leadership on strategic initiatives, product evolution, and growth opportunities.

  • Work closely with digital and credentialing teams to advance data automation and establish reliable sources of truth.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of strategic, consultative account management or provider/client success experience in healthcare, employer benefits, or insurance.

  • 10+ years of people leadership experience, ideally within women’s health or adjacent specialty areas.

  • Demonstrated success in managing senior executive relationships and delivering consultative value in healthcare environments.

  • Strong negotiation, collaboration, communication, and follow-through skills.

  • Exceptional ability to frame, position, and present information to drive stakeholder decision-making.

  • Advanced project management capabilities, including goal setting, execution, and stakeholder accountability.

  • Strong business and financial acumen, with proven analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience operating successfully within a high-growth, dynamic organization.

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for client and company engagement.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, advanced degree may be required.

  • Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience.

Pay

The annual salary range for NYC-based applicants is: $139,000 - $145,000.

Schedule

Full-time position with occasional travel up to 20%.
