Network Communications Engineer III
About the role
The Opportunity Team CACI has an exciting and challenging opportunity available for a Network Communications Engineer III supporting an Intelligence Community customer’s wide-area (WAN), local-area (LAN) and campus-area (CAN) networks across multiple security domains. Focus will be on COMSEC account management, and cryptologic duties to include operation and maintenance of encryption devices.
Responsibilities
- Focus will be on COMSEC Account Management, Custodian Duties and Encryption device configuration and maintenance.
- Maintain multiple Secure Communication devices across the Enterprise.
- Provide cryptographic support to Customers across the Enterprise.
- Experience with the following encryption devices:
- General Dynamics family: KG175D, KG175F, KG175G and KG175X
- L-3 Family: KG245A and KG245X
- Viasat Family: KG250, KG250X, KG255X and KG142
- Link Encryptors: KIV-7M
Requirements
- Maintain accurate accounting records.
- Maintain current inventory of all Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI) material.
- Coordinate system maintenance, monitoring and installation of multiple WAN/LAN environments encompassing multiple specializations, platforms and technologies.
- Assist with research and implementation of enterprise system-wide network solutions/capabilities/enhancements to support customer business/mission goals and objectives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network media and components.
- Evaluate and monitor health and performance of the communications security services including hardware and management software.
- Develop and maintain a road map for capabilities, operations, and technologies.
- Avoid and resolve issues related to network security.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- DOD 8570 IAT2 level certification.
- Active TS/SCI clearance, eligibility to take and pass a CI polygraph.
- Ability to work independently with little direction and guidance.
- Ability to work weekends and evening hours as needed.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop analytical documents and present oral presentations.
- Proficient in MS Office suite – Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- JNCIA (Juniper Networks) TCP/IP Networks - CISCO CCNP, CCVP, CCNA or CCDP ITIL v3 Foundations - ISC2 CISSP.
