The Northrop Grumman CIDO Classified Solutions team is seeking a Network Communications professional to support information system lifecycle activities. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time at our Melbourne, FL location. Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Network Communications activities in support of classified government contracts.
  • Maintain smooth operation of LAN/WAN/VPNs.
  • Plan, design, configure, and install network hardware in support of customer requirements.
  • Maintain technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware/software interconnection, as well as interfacing, including routers, multiplexers, firewalls, switches, gateways, etc.
  • Propose solutions to management.
  • Ensure all communication requirements (based on future needs and current usage) are configured to optimize cost savings.
  • Create and ensure that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions.
  • Provide regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short and long-range planning for systems.
  • May coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment.
  • Design networks, or portions of networks, including the selection of hardware and software packages.
  • Interface with Infrastructure/Hypervisor team during system configuration and troubleshooting of network issues.
  • Plan, manage, and implement complex network designs in support of customer requirements.
  • Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
  • Support network teams in project designs to clarify project requirements, provide design solutions, in accordance with standards.
  • Perform troubleshooting analysis of network infrastructure and associated systems.
  • Document network hardware and software technology components.
  • Install and configure Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Implement and troubleshoot LAN technologies such as VLANs, trunking (port tagging), spanning-tree, and protocols.
  • Provide third-level support and troubleshooting of network problems.
  • Periodically provide after-hours and weekend support.
  • Implement and troubleshoot WAN technologies such as EIGRP, BGP, and OSPF.
  • Interface regularly with customers and manage customer installation timelines and deliverables to help facilitate successful deployments.
  • Manage timely resolution of all critical and/or complex problems meeting SLA requirements.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree with 0 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 4 years of relevant experience; OR a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 6 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Must have a Security+ certification or greater.
  • Candidates must have a current US Government Secret level security clearance in order to be considered.
  • Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment.
  • Must have work experience with designing and maintaining LAN/WAN-based networks, managing routing protocols on large LAN environments, and experience with Cisco hardware (routers, switches, and firewalls).
  • Experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi networking fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering.
  • Active Top Secret, SCI, SAP/SAR access, or Polygraph.
  • Knowledge of NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG information system environments.
  • Network administration and analysis of routers, switches, firewalls, and/or VTCs.
  • Experience in the use of network analysis tools (WireShark, SolarWinds, etc.).
  • Experience configuring TACLANES.
  • Experience with Assessment & Authorization processes.

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
