Responsibilities

  • Maintains ongoing support and management of elements of the technical infrastructure.
  • Monitors performance, implements changes, performs backups, maintains documentation, and applies new patches and versions when required.
  • Investigates and troubleshoots issues with diverse scope.
  • Works independently to provide ongoing support and management of elements of the technical infrastructure.
  • Monitors infrastructure performance, troubleshoots more complex issues and deploys solutions.
  • Implements basic infrastructure monitors and alerts.
  • Reacts to infrastructure alarms triggered by monitoring tools.
  • Performs routine infrastructure updates and maintenance tasks.
  • Performs routine provisioning of infrastructure and devices.
  • Provides second level troubleshooting support and assistance to NOC and Support Services.
  • Interacts with end-users in order to troubleshoot infrastructure related issues.
  • Raises tickets with 3rd party vendors.
  • Contributes to root cause analysis.
  • Creates and maintains a disaster recovery, security and backup and restore plan.
  • Evaluates new technologies to optimize network efficiency and performance.
  • Tracks the parts inventory and maintains knowledge base documentation.
  • Reports to work when scheduled and works expected number of hours.
  • Participates in off-hours on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • A bachelor degree is preferred, or relevant experience.
  • Must be physically able to perform sedentary work: operating a computer, occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 10 pounds, and occasionally standing or walking.
  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities: meeting with customers, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
