About the role

Reports to the Director of Information Systems. The primary job goal is to install, repair, and troubleshoot computers and peripherals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor all servers and networking equipment.
• Perform network and system administration functions that include, but are not limited to:
• Backing up of all server data
• Maintain equipment server and networking inventories
• Maintain wired and wireless network infrastructure
• Manage replacement schedule for all servers and network equipment
• Operate and maintain internet connections, email systems, and firewall
• Manage network security including anti-virus, spyware, and intrusion software and devices
• Manage accounts to access core district services
• Design and implement network infrastructure to ensure continuity of services for the district
• Maintain relationships with other town entities to ensure school needs are met and issues fixed in a timely fashion
• Regularly evaluate current network and server technology to determine sufficiency for district needs
• Track and report on the usage of systems on a scheduled
