About the Role
IT SME support is requested for the Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) G3’s Army Trojan Management Office (ATMO)—Trojan Network Operations Center (TNOC). TNCC personnel provide Tier II customer service support to US ARMY INSCOM customers. Responsible for providing software support to CISCO routers and switches, Dell PCs, Sun Servers, Juniper routers, In-Line Encryption (INE) devices, network security appliances, and other related network hardware.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance eligibility; must be willing to obtain a CI Poly
- CCNA certification (required)
- IAT-2 certification: GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or CCENT
- 5 years of experience configuring, operating, and troubleshooting networks
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier II customer service support to US ARMY INSCOM customers
- Configure, operate, and troubleshoot CISCO routers and switches, Dell PCs, Sun Servers, Juniper routers, In-Line Encryption (INE) devices, network security appliances, and related network hardware
- Work assignments vary based on client requirements and may include travel with the military to participate in exercises in austere conditions
- Perform duties in various environmental conditions, including hot, dusty, cold, icy, and windy climates
- Maintain professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation, and enhances productivity
- Coordinate, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment
- Communicate verbally and in writing with government, military, and contractor personnel at all levels
Work Environment
- Work will be performed inside a large facility, typically in a cubicle (close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting)
- Physical requirements include sitting at a desk, phone and PC/laptop use, filing, and occasional lifting/carrying of boxes or files up to 25 lbs
- Occasional standing, walking, handling objects, and writing
- General office equipment use (telephone, fax, copier, PC/laptop) and potential operation of motor vehicles
- Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is mandatory; may require night, weekend, or shift work
- May be required to work during inclement weather or support military operations/exercises
Schedule
- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday: 12 hours (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
- Every other Wednesday: 8 hours (6:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
- Alternating weeks: 44 hours one week, 36 hours the next
Travel
- Continental and overseas travel may be required
- Must maintain a current passport
Other Essential Functions
- Employment is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining all required certifications
- Must be well-organized and able to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
- Grooming and dress standards are business casual, dependent on client’s requirements
- Must not pose a safety hazard to other employees
- US government security clearance is required; dual citizenship may require relinquishing foreign citizenship
Pay
$108,000 - $110,000
