About the role

The Network Administrator position supports the 53rd Wing at Eglin AFB, Florida on a full-time, on-site basis. This is a hands-on, technically demanding role for a professional with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level network infrastructure in DoD or similarly complex environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level LAN/WAN network infrastructure supporting 53rd Wing operations
  • Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and firewall platforms in classified and unclassified environments
  • Manage and maintain Windows Server environments including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
  • Administer and maintain firewall rule sets, ACLs, VLANs, and network segmentation configurations
  • Maintain comprehensive network documentation, configuration records, and change management logs
  • Support lifecycle management of network hardware, servers, and endpoint systems
  • Provide Tier II and Tier III network infrastructure support; escalate complex issues appropriately

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret clearance required at time of application
  • 3–7 years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure
  • Proven, documented experience configuring and administering Cisco routers, switches, and firewall platforms in a production environment
  • Proficiency with Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
  • CompTIA Security+ — IAT Level II compliant — required at time of application
  • Experience working in a DoD, U.S. Air Force, or equivalent federal IT environment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across network hardware, infrastructure, and systems layers
  • Ability to work on-site at Eglin AFB, FL full-time
