Network Administrator Job Responsibilities
- Maintain desktop and server networks and systems including routers, switches, firewalls, WIFI and other hardware.
- Installing and configuring network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues.
- Monitoring computer and network systems to identify and correct problems and to improve network performance.
- Maintain the Fiber Channel connectivity between the enterprise storage arrays and server environments.
- Maintains continuous connectivity between Island Hospital and the off-site Data Center.
- Install and maintain network cabling between devices.
- Responsible for network connectivity and bandwidth monitoring, including internal networks, ISP, WAN and VPN connections.
- Responsible for mobile device management and security.
- Patches and updates network device firmware to meet security compliance standards.
- Owns, tracks and resolves network and connectivity related issues and requests.
- Provides tier 3 desktop support.
- Provides vendor operating system and/or application support for installed applications.
Job Requirements
- Minimum two-year technical degree required.
- Minimum two years Desktop Support experience required.
- Minimum two years Network Administrator experience preferred.
- Healthcare experience desirable.
