Responsibilities
- Installs, supports and/or maintains LANs and/or WANs
- Evaluates and recommends networking product and software upgrades
- Performs technical analyses of software, hardware and transmission facilities using various diagnostic tools
- Investigates and resolves technical problems related to network failure/integrity and usage of PC hardware and software
- Maintains high-quality transmission of data traffic and network resource performance
Requirements
- Comprehensive understanding of processes, procedures, and systems within own and related areas
- Advanced specialized expertise within an analytical or technical area to perform the most complex work
- Tact and diplomacy to communicate ideas in a concise and logical way
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
- Nine (9) Years of information technology experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Science Degree in Information Technology or related field
- Familiarity with the United States Navy
- Experience with NSWC Corona RS Division and NCTE
Physical Requirements
- 50% of the time spent in a stationary position
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers
