About the role
We are seeking a skilled Network Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will manage and maintain our network infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient network operations across multiple sites while supporting cloud and on-premises security architecture.
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs), including security policies, NAT, VPNs, routing, threat prevention, URL filtering, and application-based traffic controls.
- Implement and manage Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN for secure, scalable connectivity across remote locations.
- Monitor firewall performance, security events, and logs, and respond to security incidents related to network infrastructure.
- Perform firewall software upgrades, configuration backups, high-availability management, and lifecycle maintenance activities.
- Install, configure, and maintain Aruba access points and switches, ensuring optimal network performance.
- Configure and maintain Microsoft Azure networking infrastructure.
- Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Zscaler cloud security solutions to enforce Internet security and access policies.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot network issues, and resolve outages in a timely manner.
- Ensure network security protocols are enforced and remain aligned with industry standards and organizational requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, design, and implement network and security changes and enhancements.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, firewall policies, operations, and processes.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users as necessary.
- Stay updated on the latest networking and cybersecurity technologies and best practices to enhance network operations and security posture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience in network administration with a focus on Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN, Palo Alto Networks Firewalls, Aruba APs, Aruba switches, Azure networking, and Zscaler.
Qualifications
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or equivalent.
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) or equivalent.
- Aruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP) or equivalent.
- Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional (ZCCP) or equivalent.
- Microsoft Azure networking or security certifications are a plus.
Skills
- Proven experience administering Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls, including security policies, VPNs, routing, NAT, and threat prevention services.
- Experience with network security technologies and protocols.
- Experience with wireless network infrastructure, specifically Aruba APs.
- Familiarity with cloud-based security solutions, particularly Zscaler.
- Hands-on experience with SD-WAN solutions, particularly Palo Alto Prisma.
- Experience managing site-to-site and remote-access VPN technologies.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, network segmentation, and network security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay
$76,000 / year (Salary Exempt)
