.NET UI and Java/Spring Boot Developer
Responsibilities
We're looking for a software engineer with 10+ years of experience developing large-scale enterprise applications using .NET UI, Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot. The role will focus on building and maintaining market and reference data capture, distribution, analytics, and workflow solutions within the equities reference and market data technology group. The successful candidate will work on delivery of new features including market and reference data sources, analytics, new datasets, service enhancements, UI improvements, availability, and resiliency improvements. The role will also involve re-engineering and maintaining stability of existing applications. The candidate should be self-motivated, a quick learner, and capable of taking ownership of critical deliverables through all stages of the project lifecycle, including requirement gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support. The person will be in constant communication with quants, product development, business users, and developers from other teams, becoming part of a fast-paced agile delivery pipeline. They will also work closely with production management and infrastructure teams to improve application stability, supportability, and performance in production environments.
Qualifications
- Strong Java development experience, preferably across Java 8 through modern versions up to Java 21
- Strong experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot
- Experience building applications using service/repository patterns and dependency injection
- Experience designing and implementing DTO-based REST/service layers
- Experience exposing endpoints using Spring MVC
- .NET UI development experience
- Good understanding of multi-threaded application development
- Experience with Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to multi-task and work under pressure
- Strong communication skills
Desired Skills
- Experience with enterprise UI development and service integration
- Knowledge of modern SDLC practices and tools including Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Agile, code reviews, and CI/CD
- Investment banking IT experience
- Experience working with production management and infrastructure teams
- Experience improving application resiliency, scalability, and supportability
