Job Summary
Aretum is seeking a .NET Services Engineer. This role involves designing and developing services, creating robust unit tests, integrating advanced observability features, troubleshooting issues, and refining data structures.
Responsibilities
- Create services implementing business logic and modifying data using ASP.NET and EFCore
- Build and integrate GraphQL APIs in ASP.NET or similar platforms
- Construct comprehensive unit tests for microservices and GraphQL APIs
- Manage PostgreSQL databases for large-scale enterprise applications
- Deploy and manage Azure cloud services, including AKS, Storage Accounts, Key Vaults, and Azure Pipelines
- Use Kubernetes for hosting applications and manage deployments through Helm charts
- Collaborate in Agile Sprint meetings and use Azure DevOps (ADO) and Git for task management
- Solve problems and communicate effectively under tight deadlines
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in software development with a focus on ASP.NET services
- Bachelor's Degree (or 2 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree)
- Strong understanding of software development principles and high proficiency in C# and .NET frameworks
- Experience with building microservices using ASP.NET Core in C#
- Proven track record of building comprehensive unit tests for microservices and GraphQL APIs
- Strong experience in constructing PostgreSQL databases for large-scale enterprise applications
- Expertise in integrating and managing PostgreSQL databases within ASP.NET microservices using Entity Framework Core (EFCore)
- Knowledge of Azure cloud services for integrating applications (AKS, Storage Accounts, Key Vaults, etc.) and implementing Azure Pipelines for orchestrating builds and deployments
- Ability to create and update Helm charts for managing Kubernetes configuration and upgrade deployments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Travel Requirements
This is a remote position; however, occasional travel may be required based on project needs, client meetings, team collaboration events, or training sessions. Travel is expected to be less than 10% and will be communicated in advance whenever possible.
