NET HANGER SEINE (Full time)

LFS, Inc., established in 1967 and a wholly owned subsidiary of Trident Seafoods, operates from corporate headquarters in Bellingham, WA with year-round locations in Washington (Bellingham, Seattle, Poulsbo) and Alaska (Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer, Sitka) plus seasonal sites in Dillingham and Naknek. While supplying the commercial fishing industry remains our core, we also serve industrial and sports netting, hydraulic sales and services, wholesale/industrial, recreational marine and outdoor, and internet sales.

About the role

Seine Net Hanger needed for commercial fishing production shop. Sews, ties, and adjusts various webbing materials.

Responsibilities

• Measures, cuts and sews netting materials.
• Assembles net component pieces per net plan specifications.
• Ties knots, laces, splices, and adjusts various webbing materials.
• Repairs holes and tears in webbing.
• Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

Commercial fishing experience helpful. Must be able to stand for 6-8 hours at a time.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1-3 months related experience.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently required to climb or balance.
• Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
• Moves objects regularly up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Pay

$20–$24 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule
