About the role
We are a well-established, fast-paced custom software development agency focusing on projects in healthcare, education, environmental engineering, and insurance. As a .NET Software Engineer, you'll contribute to the architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment of cloud/web/mobile software.
Responsibilities
- Aid and lead system architecture and technical design efforts
- Aid and lead database design and construction in various databases
- Contribute as a key developer in application development
- Write clean, testable, maintainable code and participate in peer code reviews
- Mentor other team members as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of software development experience on modern Microsoft platforms including C#, ASP.NET Core, Razor, Blazor, Minimal APIs/Web APIs, and .NET 8/9 (LTS)
- Experience building and architecting new solutions from the ground up
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, or similar
- Strong understanding of modern front-end frameworks like Angular, React, Vue, or Blazor
- Experience with RESTful and/or gRPC API design
- Expertise in SQL Server or equivalent relational database experience
- Practical experience with Entity Framework Core or a comparable ORM
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and modern source control workflows (Git)
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the .NET Framework in C#
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with customers
