Nephrologist - 1099, 3 days a month

About the role

This is a 1099 role, 3 days a month. Specific days and schedule will be coordinated based on the selected candidate's availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide full range of emergency care to patients of all age ranges.
• Exercise knowledge of medical procedures and its application to clinical practices in order to provide individualized, goal-oriented nephrological care to adult patients.
• Exercise knowledge of scientific and psychosocial medical theory, principles, practices, and techniques to plan and provide quality medical care meeting the physical, spiritual, and social-cultural needs of Native American/Alaskan Native patients.
• Exercise knowledge of biological aspects of disease processes and illness to recognize complications and implement appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Exercise knowledge of medications and dosages to recognize desired effects, side effects, and complications of their use.
• Exercise knowledge of childhood immunizations, vaccines, and up-to-date patient education resources and information.
• Analyze results of various medical procedures and translate them into appropriate interventions.
• Work effectively and harmoniously within healthcare teams and with Native American/Alaskan Native patients and their families.
• Provide inter-facility transports when needed and supported by schedule requirements.
• Follow facility policies and procedures, JCAHO, OSHA, I.H.S., and other federal licensing, accreditations, and regulating body standards.
• Coordinate care teams, offer guidance, and support to team members.
• Teach and offer appropriate health education to staff, patients, and customer owners.
• Perform clinical procedures and respond to emergency codes.

Requirements

• A minimum of twelve months (12) of experience in Nephrology.
• Board certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Nephrology.
• Possess a current, valid, unrestricted medical license in any state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
• Possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Medical degree from an accredited institution.

Pay

Estimated salary/wage: USD $250.00/hour.
