About the Role
A senior faculty leadership position for a neonatologist scientist, centered around the Jean and George W. Brumley Jr. Endowed Chair in Neonatology. This role focuses on advancing neonatal research and clinical practice within a high-acuity Level IV NICU and an integrated maternal–fetal–neonatal continuum.
Responsibilities
- Lead neonatal research and clinical practice in a high-acuity Level IV NICU
- Advance translational and implementation science within an integrated maternal–fetal–neonatal continuum
- Develop and build research programs, recruit faculty, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration
- Leverage state-of-the-art facilities and resources at the Darby Children’s Research Institute
- Focus on areas such as lung development, brain injury, inflammation, and organ maturation
- Contribute to population-level research using a statewide referral base
- Shape a nationally recognized neonatal research agenda
Requirements
- Expertise in neonatology with a strong research background
- Leadership experience in academic or clinical research environments
