Neonatologist

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Neonatologist to join our Neonatology-Perinatology Department. You will be part of a highly skilled team, providing the highest level of care for critically ill and premature newborns within our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert care to sick and premature newborns in both the Level IV and Level III NICU settings.
• Attend and manage high-risk deliveries.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for extremely premature, surgical, cardiac, and ECMO patients, with a focus on optimizing patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with a growing multidisciplinary team, currently including 8 neonatologists and 40 neonatal nurse practitioners.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Neonatology.
• Ability to obtain an unrestricted Ohio medical license.
• Experience in neonatal intensive care and high-risk deliveries.
• Strong commitment to patient care and teamwork.
• Engage in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents, with an academic appointment opportunity at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
• Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives.
