NEONATAL PRACTICE - NP IP

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain a Delaware license to practice in field of specialty and hold a DEA upon eligibility.
• Level 1 nursery NNP rounds daily in collaboration with pediatric hospitalist.
• Attend high-risk deliveries and cesarean sections.
• Resuscitation and stabilization of neonates.
• Communication and consult with tertiary care center and preparation for neonatal transport.
• Management of common neonatal problems, including respiratory distress, hypoglycemia, rule-out sepsis, hyperbilirubinemia.
• Special populations include late preterm infants and infants with neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome.
• Respond to ED for neonates and to assist with IV placement and labs.

Qualifications

• Education/Training Requirements: Advanced practice registered nurse. Must hold a master's degree in nursing from an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program . Must be current in maintenance of NCC certification. Must be American Heart BLS & NRP certified. New graduates will not be considered. Minimum of 5 years' experience preferred.
