About the role
Pediatrix® Medical Group is seeking an experienced, certified NNP for per diem coverage at Orlando Health South Lake Hospital in Clermont, FL.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care to newborns and infants in the Level II NICU
- Collaborate with Neonatologists, Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs), and Pediatric Hospitalists
- Support the projected NICU average daily census of 5–6 by year-end
- Manage a newborn nursery ADC of 6–7
- Support up to 2,000 annual deliveries
- Participate in a collaborative care model
Requirements
- Current APRN national specialty certification
- Minimum of a master’s degree
- Florida license required
Qualifications
- Experience in neonatal care
- Strong clinical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Skills
- Knowledge of neonatal care protocols
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
