About the role
Emplify Health by Gundersen in La Crosse, WI is seeking a 0.5 FTE Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join its established group of neonatologists and NNPs. Care is provided in an 18-bed, Level III NICU. This position will work 24 shifts or variable shifts based on organizational and unit needs.

- Average daily census of 12; 270 admissions and 4,258 patient days in 2022

- Dedicated pediatric respiratory therapy team supports conventional and high-frequency ventilation
- “Neonet” telemedicine program available across the tri-state service area
- Collaborative relationships with pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists, including PICU, Pediatric Surgery, and Pediatric Anesthesiology
- Active OB department delivered approximately 1,700+ newborns last year; 11–14% resulted in NICU admission
- Family-centered, Baby-Friendly care through mother-baby couplet program
- Pediatric department operates a certified pediatric medical home
- NNP staff provide transport support and attend high-risk deliveries
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited NNP program
- Eligibility to obtain licensure to practice in the multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations
- Advanced practice clinicians work under the direct supervision of a physician
- Clinician staff may need to provide outreach services as part of their role
- Teaching students, residents, fellows, or clinical staff is an expectation
