Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse

About the Role

As our Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), you will be a vital and compassionate healthcare professional dedicated to the most fragile and vulnerable patients. Your expertise will be pivotal in delivering high-quality, specialized care that truly impacts the well-being and recovery of neonates and their families. You will help ensure these infants have positive outcomes and thrive by providing individualized, comprehensive care to critically ill and premature infants.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team—including neonatologists, respiratory therapists, social workers, and other specialists—to achieve the best developmental and health outcomes for our tiniest patients. Success in this role requires exceptional assessment skills tailored to neonates, acute critical thinking, and an unwavering patient-first and family-centered mindset. Your work will be driven by a profound enthusiasm to nurture and advocate for these vulnerable infants while supporting their families through challenging times.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for neonates, adapting care plans to their evolving developmental needs and complex medical conditions.
• Organize and prioritize patient care activities balanced with the delicate needs, comfort, and developmental considerations of the neonatal patient and their family.
• Recognize and adapt swiftly to subtle changes in a neonate's condition in a timely and clinically appropriate manner, often anticipating potential complications.
• Educate and support families, involving them in the care of their infant, and providing emotional support during a critical and often stressful time.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Preferred: One year of Level II/III NICU experience.
• Preferred: National Certified Counselor (NCC) certification, upon hire.

$35.00 - $58.63 per hour.
