Neonatal Hospitalist
About the role
Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced, Board Certified Pediatric Hospitalist with recent Neonatology experience to work as a per diem Neonatal Hospitalist at Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care across the NICU and Newborn Nursery while working alongside experienced neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners in a collaborative environment.
Opportunity highlights
- 22-bed Level III NICU with private rooms
- Approximately 1,700 annual deliveries
- In-house 12-hour shifts
- Attend high-risk deliveries and expand procedural skills
- Collaborate with experienced neonatologists and NNPs
- Comprehensive care in the NICU and Newborn Nursery
Responsibilities
- Attend high-risk deliveries
- Provide neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
- Diagnose and manage newborn medical conditions
- Care for premature and medically complex infants in conjunction with the Neonatologists
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes
Skills required
- Newborn airway management including intubation
- Umbilical arterial and venous catheter placement
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Pediatrics with recent experience in Neonatology required
- VA license required
