NEIGHBORHOOD PARTNERSHIPS ADMINSTRATOR
About the role
The Neighborhood Partnerships Administrator reports directly to and provides complex administrative support to the Assistant Village Manager/Neighborhood Services Director. Key priorities include leading, developing, supporting and facilitating the organization's community and civic engagement strategy through a neighborhood-based lens. The position oversees the Village Hall Welcome Center, coordinates the special events permitting process, organizes assigned activities on an interdepartmental basis, works with boards and commissions, outside agencies, and community groups, and represents the Village on external boards and committees.
Responsibilities
- Collaboratively leads, develops, supports and facilitates the organization's community and civic engagement strategy through a neighborhood-based lens.
- Oversees the operations of the Village’s Neighborhood Partnerships Division, including the Village Hall Welcome Center.
- Coordinates the special events permitting process.
- Organizes assigned activities on an interdepartmental basis.
- Works with boards and commissions, outside agencies, and community groups.
- Represents the Village on external boards and committees as assigned.
- Serves as a Village liaison and ombudsperson between neighborhood residents, community stakeholders, and Village departments.
- Engages with the broader Oak Park community.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as urban planning, public administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in community development, municipal administration, or a related field.
- Experience managing and coordinating community events and programs.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with community engagement software.

Pay
The annual salary range for the Neighborhood Partnerships Administrator is $100,000 +/- depending on qualifications.
