About the Role

Trains, examines, and certifies nondestructive test (NDT) personnel, ensuring competency and qualification to perform applicable tests in conformance with Company and contractual requirements. Provides technical support to resolve technical issues, including development, interpretation, adaptation, qualification, and implementation of specifications, procedures, and processes. Approves NDT procedures and workmanship standards while ensuring program adequacy. Develops and administers NDT personnel training and certification programs, including counseling, corrective guidance, decertification, or retraining/testing as needed.

Conducts site monitoring and surveillance of NDT personnel and operations, evaluates program elements, and performs product re-inspection activities. Interprets applicable specifications, procedures, and technical requirements. Compiles and prepares technical and interpretive reports on NDT-detected workmanship trends, reject rate analysis, problem resolution, and the impact of methodology changes on manufacturing and inspection operations.

Requirements

• Certified Nondestructive Test Examiner certification (ASNT Level III or NAVSEA 250-1500-1 Test Examiner)
• 2 years of relevant experience in inspection, test, or quality role

Preferred Qualifications

• NDT background in RT (Radiographic Testing)
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• General understanding of shipyard systems and applications (e.g., DDMS, SAP)

Pay

Salary range: $75,000.00 to $94,000.00. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
