About the role

The NDT Technician II performs non-destructive inspection of components to ensure compliance with Chromalloy's quality system, specifications, and customer requirements. This role requires proficiency in multiple NDT methods including Fluorescent Penetrant, Radiography (X-Ray), Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic, and Eddy Current Inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Perform non-destructive inspections of components using various NDT methods.
  • Ensure all inspections comply with Chromalloy's quality system, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Stand 75% of the workday and lift up to 35 lbs as required.
  • Work closely with engineers and technicians to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Read, interpret, and follow Engine Service/Repair Manuals, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • NDT Level II Certification in at least one NDT method (PT, MT, UT, RT, ET).
  • Two to four years of general work history.
  • One year of related experience in a similar role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing in English.
  • Ability to read and interpret precision measurement equipment and various types of documentation.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Skills

  • Knowledge of NDT methods (Fluorescent Penetrant, Radiography, Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic, Eddy Current).
  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
