About the Role
Working with minimal supervision, Level Two NDT Technicians are able to set up and execute full NDT inspection processes, including equipment checks, basic maintenance, and performing full NDT inspection tasks. Technicians will be certified internally and externally, demonstrate the ability to identify and disposition non-conforming product, and begin the NCR (Non-Conforming Report) process.
Responsibilities
- Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
- Adhere to quality processes including in-process inspection to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
- Correctly interpret work orders.
- Perform NDT Level 2 tasks as defined in NAS410-5.1.4 (FPI & MPI).
- Work in a team environment, i.e., follow instructions and assist others as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to read and write English.
- Ability to perform basic shop math including fractions and decimals.
- Ability to use basic inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and comparators.
- Ability to navigate intranet to locate process documents (basic computer skills).
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and basic prints and dimensions.
- Ability to acquire Level 1 NDT certification (FPI & MPI).
Qualifications
- Level 1 NDT Certification (Required).
- Typically 2-3 years of recent and relevant work experience.
- High School diploma or GED.
