About the Role
As an NDE UT Level III, you will ensure that Non-Destructive Testing processes and procedures for Ultrasonic Testing (UT) adhere to customer requirements, guaranteeing compliance and efficiency. This role involves owning the AT&F UT program and performing challenging, purposeful work in a secure, local (Cleveland) environment with no travel required.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the NDT qualification program for Level I, II, and III NDT Team Members.
- Maintain qualification records, certifications, proficiency examinations, and oversight of required experience hours.
- Provide or direct training, examination, and certification of personnel.
- Oversee the work of NDT inspectors to ensure quality assurance and safety procedures are met.
- Record, organize, and evaluate test results; generate NDT and QA inspection reports.
- Assume technical responsibility for the NDT facility and staff.
- Select methods and techniques for specific inspections; prepare and verify the adequacy of procedures and work instructions.
- Approve NDT procedures and work instructions for technical adequacy.
- Conduct quality weld inspections using various methods in accordance with industry standards and contract-specific requirements.
- Perform other job-related tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Must be qualified and certified to SNT-TC-1A in Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
- Previous Level II Certification to SNT-TC-1A, including documented objective evidence of classroom and on-the-job training experience.
- Preferred: Certified Level III Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Visual Examination (VT).
- Experience in the inspection of metal fabrications, pressure vessels, piping, tanks, or gas systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
